Brooke Showell is a freelance lifestyle writer and editor who covers travel, beauty, style, weddings and celebrity. Her work has appeared in Coastal Living, Woman’s Day, Destination Weddings & Honeymoons, Elegant Bride, Newsday and People.com, among other publications.
As her reporting has taken her from accessories shows in Milan to underwater caves in Curacao, she has written about a Caribbean island without beaches (Serene Saba, Coastal Living), brides who ruthlessly steal ideas from each other (Wedding Identity Theft, Modern Bride), and how to tactfully trash talk (Be a Good Gossip, Self).
Brooke is a graduate of the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. She lives in New York City.
